Gary Taxali

Gary Taxali is an award winning Illustrator based in Toronto. He has a distinct mixed media style influenced by vintage comics and advertising, often drawing and screen printing on found paper and old books. I remember first seeing his work on a trip to New York in 2004 at a Society of Illustrators show, Gary's characters are humorous and work well with the mixed inks and collage he works with. They remind me of Indian graphics and dyes and also those 1950's american drive through adverts.
