I was totally blown away when I saw Mr Martin's stunning, prolific Flickr photostream! I don't think I've ever seen such a command of composition and use of space, coupled with such beautiful locations. Documenting his travels and lifestyle, his camera permanently by his side, each image appears to have a story behind it and leaves you guessing at the narrative it tells.

Most of his photographs are centre-focused, drawing the eye in to the middle of the image. In one interview I've read recently, Martin says he has made a conscious effort to avoid this in new work, "but it goes against every instinct. It’s weird" he comments. If he carries on producing amazing images like this, then in my eyes he doesn't need to change his approach at all! Brilliant stuff...
