Almost every industry has it's own annual 'best of' awards and the greetings and stationery industry is no exception. These awards are known as 'The Henries' and are the greetings and stationery equivalent of the 'Oscars' (minus the red carpet.) Every year there are a phenomenal amount of cards entered (14,000 this year - amazing that there are so many designs out there!) and the entries are judged by a mixed panel of retail buyers from Paperchase to Clintons to some small independents.

This year we have been nominated in FOUR categories... so we are all going to put our best frocks out and go to the awards ceremony in October. Fun times! It's great to have some recognition for the hard work our team has put in this year.

The Nominated Categories are;

'Lettered' for Best Words and Sentiment Range.

'1000 Words' for Best Photographic Range.

'Toasted' for Best Art Range.

'Toasted' for Best Gift Wrap.

'Toasted' Gift Wrap,

and a design from each of the nominated card ranges pictured above.

We do have some history in the awards being nominated twice back in 2005 (Winner for 'Scrawl' with best Words and Sentiment) and then twice again in 2007. Out of the last three nominations though, we only came away with one win. Fingers crossed for this year!
